Unraveling HubSpot Pricing: Choosing the Right Plan

Written by Maryanne McWhirter | July 16, 2024

If you’re a small business owner diving into the world of digital marketing, you've probably heard of HubSpot—a powerful suite of tools that can elevate your marketing, sales, and customer service game.

But with so many options, how do you choose the right plan for your business without feeling overwhelmed?

LeadG2 is one of only 3% of global Solutions Partners who have achieved HubSpot’s Diamond tier. What does that mean? It means we are top-tier experts on the platform and help businesses like yours utilize this powerful platform every day. Let us help you break down HubSpot’s product options for an ideal plan.

Six HubSpot Hubs

The center of HubSpot's platform is the CRM (Customer Relationship Management). There are six "Hubs" built on top of this CRM framework. Each hub serves as a digital toolkit that connects and talks to the same system records in the CRM.

The Six HubSpot Hubs:

  • Content Hub

  • Marketing Hub

  • Sales Hub

  • Services Hub

  • Operations Hub

  • Commerce Hub

Which Hub Should You Start With?

Review your business model, growth goals, and budget first. Don't get too excited over the impressive features and sparkling options before evaluating your needs.

  • Where are you today?

  • Where do you want to be in 5 years?

  • What is your database like now, and how much automation will you use?

Companies with certain product/service types, target personas, and target industries may derive more value from some hubs vs. others. Some options may be too simplistic or too complex for your needs. HubSpot is built to scale with you, so be sure to purchase what you will use to start and allow the opportunity to grow.

Choosing Your HubSpot Tier

Once you have determined your hub needs, you then must determine your tier. Content Hub, Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub, and Operations Hub each have four tiers:

  • Free

  • Starter

  • Professional

  • Enterprise

Not surprisingly, higher tiers come with more features and a bigger cost. Today, we are going to dive deeper into what we consider excellent entry Hubs to using HubSpot: Content Hub, Marketing Hub, and Sales Hub.

HubSpot Content Hub

  • Key Features: Create, manage, update, and distribute content. Website hosting, blog hosting, emails, podcasting, and optimization for search engines and mobile viewers are all available.

  • You Need It If: You have been juggling multiple systems to host, update, and create content.

HubSpot Content Hub made its debut in April 2024. It is an all-in-one content marketing software for creating impactful customer journeys.

HubSpot Content Hub Free is all you need for a securely hosted, optimized website and blog.

Professional tier is $500 per month and includes 3 seats (additional seats are $45/ seat) adds personalization tools, A/B Testing, and SEO troubleshooting, analytic tools, podcasting hosting, video hosting, integration options, and more.

Finally, Content Hub Enterprise costs $1,500/ month and lets you build custom web apps, add more websites, and host larger quantities of content.

HubSpot's Marketing Hub is the hub for managing engagement with your prospects and customers in their buying journey.

The Free tier of the Marketing Hub lets you send a few emails, create forms and a live chat.

The Starter tier removes HubSpot's branding from your content and gives you call-to-action button management as well as email health insights. It costs $20 per month per seat.

Professional-level users pay $890 a month for three seats. Here, you get full campaign management, SEO optimization, custom reporting, and social media management.

Enterprise costs $3,600 a month for five seats. Enterprise adds predictive lead scoring, multi-touch revenue attribution, and customer journey analytics.

HubSpot Sales Hub

  • Key Features: Prospect management, forecasting, automated email scheduling, lead scoring, deal tracking, meeting link customization, sales playbooks

  • You Need It If: You want to start closing deals faster and integrate analytics into your CRM.

HubSpot Sales Hub helps your sales team engage leads, close deals, and grow your business! Not only do the features here allow you to organize your pipeline and automate personalized emails, but they also track specific leads, open specific emails, and allow you to click on specific links. It is the best gift you can give your sales team to succeed.

The Free version of Sales Hub offers a variety of time-saving tools for email sending and tracking, along with several app and email platform integrations. Starter costs just $50/month for 2 users ($23/month per additional user).

Starter version sets higher limits across many of the free features, and it allows for multiple currencies, goals, e-signatures, and repeating tasks. Sales Hub Professional is a big leap with the feature list.

Professional includes forecasting tools, the HubSpot prospecting workspace (very cool), playbooks, and sequences. The Pro version costs $500/month.

Enterprise is $1,500/ month and is the mecca of sales tools. It adds predictive lead scoring, recurring revenue tracking, custom objects, and lead form routing.

These are just half of the HubSpot Hubs you can choose! We recommend, if you are just starting with HubSpot to begin with one of these three then adding on other Hubs as you grow.
