VitbergLLC Merger into LeadG2 Creates Next Generation Marketing and Sales Opportunities for Professional Services Firms

Vitberg_LeadG2.pngI’m very pleased to announce that VitbergLLC has been acquired and will be merging with a nationally recognized HubSpot partner called LeadG2, effective February 1, 2016.

The Truth and Nothing but the Truth

Those of you that know me are aware of the fact that I’ve always tried to be cutting edge in my thinking about professional marketing. In a previous life, that resulted in things like being one of the first CPA firms in the nation to do blogging and podcasting, signing up to be the very first CPA firm using HubSpot, squeezing business development opportunities out of traditional PR activities where none existed before, leading the charge for gating content for lead gen purposes, and a lot more, like giving away an ounce of gold for an internal marketing contest!

About a year ago, I started to think about how we could better service our clients. Handling the sheer amount of new products, services, innovations, and ways of thinking about digital marketing was like drinking out of a fire hose. I felt that we needed to be part of a bigger organization in order to share the load when it came to assessing the benefits and costs of making these part of our service offerings.

One of the offerings that was particularly intriguing was looking at the progress being made in aligning marketing and sales using a combination of marketing automation and CRM technologies built with inbound marketing as a common denominator. Pretty cool stuff.

Next, I was looking for a way to continue our growth using a strategy of expanding into a few different professional services industries, like consulting and executive recruiting firms. I wanted to align with a firm that had clients in these niches, and the resources to build a bigger, nationally recognized professional services niche practice.

Finally, as with any merger or acquisition, I wanted to align with a firm that could offer me, my staff and my contractors bigger and better growth and compensation opportunities.

Right about that same time I was thinking these thoughts, HubSpot announced a program to facilitate mergers between partners, and I put our hat in the ring.

Why LeadG2?

We went pretty far down the path with 3 HubSpot partners over the last 9 months, and at the end of our journey, made the decision to merge into LeadG2, a HubSpot platinum partner.

We were impressed by their DNA (a firm called The Center for Sales Strategy), their management and account teams, and the fact that they have been very successful in running a virtual company. This is a company with over 33 years in the sales strategy business. Above and beyond anything else, I liked the fact that they are considered to be the nation’s leader when it comes to aligning marketing and sales using inbound marketing best practices. As a matter of fact, the new HubSpot CRM is largely a result of their efforts.

I’m looking forward to my new role as head of the LeadG2 professional services team!
