What is a CRM?

Written by Matt Sunshine | June 8, 2015

Definition of a CRM

CRM is short for customer relationship management, which is a system that manages interactions with existing and potential customers and sales prospects.

Why LeadG2 Uses HubSpot's CRM

Believe me when I tell you, I have done a lot of research on different CRMs. A lot. I researched for months, trying to find the right solution. Then, seemingly out of the blue, HubSpot reached out to me and told me they were creating a CRM of their own.

I was excited.

Today, I use their CRM to track the efforts of my sales team. How many people do we contact? What was the last thing the prospect opened? What does our pipeline look like?

Because HubSpot is also our CMS, we know a lot about our leads. How many blog posts they read, how many times they visited the website, and which emails they opened.

That way, we're never surprised when the prospect raises their hand. We usually see it coming.
