What is an Inbound Link?

Written by LeadG2 | July 6, 2015

Definition of an Inbound Link

A link from one site into another. A link from another site will improve your SEO, especially if that site has a high PageRank.

How to Get More Inbound Links

The more websites that link to your content, the more valuable your website becomes (at least in the eyes of Google). So, it makes sense that you'd want to get more inbound links. But simply wanting more links isn't enough.

Here are two ways to get more inbound links:

  • Share other people's content. The more you share, the more likely you are to be shared yourself. Share on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or anywhere else your target persona goes.
  • Write quality content. Solve problems and people will include you in their weekly wrap ups or link inspirations.

Now that you know what inbound links are, and two strategies to get more inbound links, you'll be on your way to the first page of search results in no time.
